Green leaf salad with kuli kuli

I was delighted to find an edible “weed” growing profusely at the back of our garden! Its called “abanacha” in Hausa and my househelp taught me how to make this nice cold salad.

Handful of leaves eg moringa (zogole) or abanacha

Remove the leaves from the stems and boil until the leaves are soft.

Drain, rinse under a cold tap, and squeeze out the liquid.

Add – a small piece of finely chopped onion

-1/4 or so of kuli kuli powder

-salt

-flavourings eg paprika
