This soaked muesli can be made the night before for a quick breakfast the next morning. I make it on Saturday evening and my daughter brings me breakfast in bed on Sunday morning! This is a recipe we’ve worked out but adapt the ingredients to suit your taste.
2 cups oats
2 cups buttermilk
sprinkle of sesame (benne) seeds
sprinkle of egusi seeds
2 chopped bananas
dash of cinnamon
Often I soak some dates in water in a seperate dish and these can be chopped and de-stoned when they are soft, and added to the mix.
